Everyone has to write their dialogue in the notebook. They get a worksheet as guideance.

Škola Valsequillo i projekti

Škola Valsequillo pridaje veliko značenje eTwinning i Erasmus+ projektima. Poznati su po tome što su višestruki pobjednici u eTwinning projektu "Schoolovision" gdje je zadatak izraditi videospot i snimiti pjesmu po uzoru na Eurovision. Za taj projekt, učiteljica koja je koordinator projekta dobiva jedan sat u satnici kako bi mogla kvalitetno pripremati materijale i surađivati u projektu.

 Osim toga, tijekom školske godine rade na mnogim drugim projektima, npr. o jednakosti:

Ukrasne predmete izrađuju i od recikliranih materijala, a u svakoj učionici nalaze se kutije za razvrstavanje i recikliranje otpada.

Škola se proteže na 3 kata i ima dovoljno učionica za svojih 330 učenika.

Škola Valsequillo obuhvaća vrtić i školu s nastavom za učenike od 3 do 12 godina. Vrtić je zgrada pored škole, a škola je zasebna. Zajedno dijele igralište i sportske terene. U susjedstvu se nalazi i srednja škola gdje obično učenici nastavljaju školovanje.

Na današnjem satu engleskog jezika govorimo o školskim predmetima.

Prije 4 godine eksperimentalno je u Španjolskoj uveden novi predmet koji se zove Emokrea. Na tom predmetu poučavaju se emocije i kreativnost. Prvo je predmet uveden u prvi i drugi razred, a danas se provodi u prva četirir razreda. Zanimljivo je primijetiti kako se naglasak u redovnoj školi stavlja na emocije i kreativnost, upravljanje emocijama i da se brine o mentalnom zdravlju mladih jednako kao i o fizičkom.

In this English class we learn about the subjects. 

After naming the subjects they listen to a song by Sam Cooke that was a bit modified by the teacher for this lesson.

Students listen to the video lyrics and read their worksheets. They sing, translate and work on the text.

- Ss watch the presentation

- Ss look at the flashcards and say the animals at the safarit

- interactive whiteboard software: Ss listen and match the animal flashcards

- Ss take the flashcard o fan animal and have to make 3 sentences about it to descirbe it to the class. Ss that guess correct are next to describe the animal.

Satovi engleskog jezika i učionica

Od ove školske godine, u CEIP Valsequillo učenici se skupljaju u dvorištu škole i u 9h svaki učitelj dolazi po svoj razred. Zatim vježbaju biti poslušni i tihi, a kad nastane potpuna tišina, smiju ući u školu sa svojim učiteljima. Obzirom da se tek uvježbavaju, ova procedura zna potrajati i do 3 minute.

Satovi engleskog jezika odvijaju se dva puta tjedno, s time da se nastava prirode (Science) održava i na engleskom jeziku. Učenici bilježe u bilježnicu u prvu polovicu gradivo iz engleskog, a u drugu iz prirode.
CLIL metoda (poučavanje drugih predmeta kroz strani jezik) služi da učenici vježbaju engleski jezik kroz smislene aktivnosti čitanja i učenja, stoga se nastava nekih predmeta u Španjolskoj odvija na engleskom. Pri tome, naglasak je da savladaju gradivo predmeta, dok je engleski samo medij na kojem se nastava odvija. Na nastavi engleskog jezika obrađuju se jezične zakonitosti i gramatika.

Topic: Energy and Magnetism
- Ss can name the five types of energy in English

Na prethodnom satu, učili su o vrstama energije. Često dobivaju materijale za zalijepiti u bilježnicu.

- A3 paper: flower with 5 petals – each student in group will be one type of energy and have to brainstorm what is different and what i sin common with all the energies.

Učenici imaju svoje bilježnice gdje lijepe tekstove s temama koje obrađuju i gdje bilježe.

Učionica engleskog je zaista dobro opremljena, zahvaljujući godišnjem budžetu kojeg svaki učitelj ima, ali i dodatnim materijalima koje škola nabavlja. Za materijale na razini škole se skuplja 10€ godišnje kako bi se nabavljali materijali za rad. Osim toga, izdavačke kuće daruju dosta promo materijala i didaktičkih materijala za rad.

Class 6

The English teacher prepared the lesson, the native speaker is teaching. The native speaker comes to classes two times a week to practice English with the students.

INTRODUCTION

T: How was your weekend?
- great, boring, relaxing, fun
T: What did you do?
The emphasis is on repetition, saying full sentences and speaking.

MAIN PART:

Game: pronouns game
eg. If you don't have enough money, you can borrow mine.
     I gave her my phone number, and she gave me hers.
     My brother has got these pencils. They are his.

Teacher writes the possessive pronouns on the flipchart board.

Groups of 3: play the card game. teacher reads the sentences and the Ss choose the cards. The person who chose the right pronoun first, gets the point.

CONCLUSION

Finishing the speaking game.

Discipline: /counting/ if I get to zero (five-four-three-two-one-zero), you get a sad face.

INFANTIL / KINDERGARTEN ENGLISH CLASS (Age 5)

English teacher leads and prepares the lesson, the native speaker is the assistant in speaking with the students.

Main part:

One teacher teaches new words, while the other disciplines the class (and / or helps)

Conclusion:

Table time: colour the worksheet (illnesses) with crayons and pencils
Ss put their work in the drawers, it is put in their collection which they take home after the school year or at half-term.

Idea for castagnets: cardboard and metal bottle caps craft – teaching musical instruments

Curriculum: general guidelines and rubrics for assessment, autonomy of the teacher
